Kick off Neighbourhood House Week with this Food Links ‘All About Apples’ workshop at Castlemaine Community House!

Facilitated by Ingrid of The Orchard Keepers at the Harcourt Organic Farming Co-Op, this matinée session of our fruit preservation series will cover some of the basics of apple preserving: bottled apples, chutney, and dehydration methods using a dehydrator or oven.

Come along for a hands-on and fun learning experience, and take home some preserved apples for yourself and/or your loved ones!

Many thanks to the team at Growing Abundance for donating some truly delicious apples for us to work with.

Vaccination status is no longer required to attend, but we do invite participants to wear a mask if they feel more comfortable doing so. As always, please let us know if you are unwell and will not be able to attend, so that your place can be offered to someone else.

Please Bring:

  • 3 x 400ml or similar jars (metal pop-lid preferred, no plastic lids please)
  • A peeler if you have one
  • A small knife

Date: Monday 9 may
