This is an introductory course for people who are interested in working in the food service industry, such as in a café, coffee house, restaurant, pub or bakery.

It will include developing understandings and skills in:

  • types of cafes & coffee culture,
  • coffee (making) skills,
  • front-of-house skills,
  • basic food safety,
  • customer service,
  • communication skills,
  • your expectations and your rights.
