A warm, welcoming space where children can create, play, and express themselves through art. Each week, kids are invited to explore art and play at their own pace.

Led by a registered Art Therapist and a Children’s Counsellor, this gentle program is designed to help children feel safe and supported.

This program is delivered in partnership with Dhelkaya Health.

When: Tuesdays 3.30-5pm (14 July to 25th August 2026)

Where: Castlemaine Community House

Who: Kids in grades 3-6 (priority places for Harcourt residents)

Programs for Teens

Teen Climbing Club

Time: 3:30pm – 6:30pm

Date: Mondays, 10 August to 7 September

Where: The Hold Bendigo Bouldering Gym (transport to and from Castlemaine provided)

Who: Ages 12-18

Cost: $95 (full)/ $75 (Concession) a session. Fees are going to cover entry to the climbing gym. We will provide transport, supervision and snacks. – If cost is a barrier please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will work something out.

Climb, have fun, and hang out while building, strength, skills and confidence.

Come join us for our 5-week afterschool program at the Hold Bouldering Gym in Bendigo. This program is designed to be a fun, non-competitive, and social activity for teens that don’t quite fit into mainstream sports and activities.

The Hold is a bouldering gym which means there are no ropes and the heights are low, which makes it a great way to enter into the sport of climbing. There will be coaches at the gym to give guidance and everything will be designed around your comfort level.

No experience is needed. Shoes, snacks, and transportation to and from Castlemaine will be provided.

Priority spots given to young people who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, part-time timetable students or disengaged from school, or are neurodivergent.

Pick up after school at Castlemaine Secondary College at 3:15pm

This afterschool program is facilitated by Castlemaine Community House’s Youth Wellbeing Coordinator and funded by Vic Health’s Growing Healthy Communities program.

Wavelength – A Young Neurodiverse Men’s Group

Where: Castlemaine Community House, 30 Templeton Street Castlemaine

Who: 18 – 25 yrs of age

For all of you young male identifying people living with neurodiversity, we have created a space for you here in Castlemaine where you can engage with others in a space designed specifically for you to share experiences and passions, inspire each other and most of all, be your authentic self.

A free, relaxed hangout for young neurodiverse men in Castlemaine — A no pressure comfy, and welcoming space to connect, share what you’re into, and be exactly who you are. Board games, snacks, real conversations, and a crew who gets it.

CCH’s youth program is designed to support young people to participate in exercise and wellbeing activities that meet them where they’re at.

CCH’s Youth Programs prioritise recreation, social connection, creativity, and celebration, while supporting positive mental and physical health for the young people in our community.
