Over 9 weeks you will learn the basics of vegetable gardening from soil and seeds to plant care and harvesting. Each week a different topic will be covered, and will include hands on time in the garden as well as an activity to take home and try.
Topics covered include:
- Home composting.
- Mulching techniques.
- Organic pest control.
- Growing herbs in raised garden beds and pots, and
- Designing and building living gifts.
This course is ideal for anyone wanting to turn their backyard into a productive paradise or is considering horticulture as a career and wants some hands on experience.

Tanya lives in Drummond and has been growing food, herbs and flowers for over 10 years. She is a qualified teacher who has turned her educational skills to horticulture and permaculture. Tanya is passionate about community sufficiency and resilience, food sovereignty and equitable access to knowledge.
