Keen to shake your booty at Hot Moves No Pressure but don’t have a group to dance with?
We are holding our first ‘Meet and Greet’ session!
When: March 25th 2025
Time: 6pm to 7pm
Where: Castlemaine Community House
What: You’ll have an opportunity to hear from Hot Moves No Pressure Alumni, meet other interested dancers and complete an expression of interest to be involved with the group (if you haven’t done so already). You’ll learn what the commitment is; what involvement in the group will look like; what to expect on the night of the event; and who your troupe may be! If you’re curious but not sure if this is for you, come along to this first session and see what you think, no commitment required. Registration to be part of the pop icon supergroup will close on Tuesday March 25th, so make sure you fill out the EOI!

To fill you in, Castlemaine Community House is pulling together a pop superstar group for solo dancers who want to be part of the action.
Hot Moves No Pressure is a fun community dance battle, where anyone can join, shake their booty however they know how and dance like no one is watching!
This is a pilot project for HMNP 2025, and we’re excited to see where it goes! We’re looking for up to 12 dancers to join—if we get more interest, we’ll prioritise those who haven’t participated before, then go by first in, best dressed. If it’s a hit, we’ll aim to do it again next year!
By signing up, you’re committing to weekly 1-hour rehearsals until the big event on Saturday 16th August.
The group will choose the pop anthem, come up with a killer name, and create choreography—guided by an HMNP legend and fabulous Castlemaine Community House team member, Isis.
Please note, this is a community-led group, and while Castlemaine Community House is supporting the initiative, dancers are responsible for their own safety, participation and any costs associated with costumes and props.
