Ira Barker is a Gunditjmara and Barkindji cook and gardener that works for local Indigenous catering company Murnong Mammas and is upcoming garden manager for the Harcourt Bush Tucker Farm, Dharrak Djanga. Ira spends their time volunteering at local Harcourt Organic Co-op with Gung Hoe Growers and values utilising fresh, local and seasonal produce in their cooking with a focus on Indigenous Australian ingredients. Ira likes to work with simple but inventive recipes with an emphasis on safe food handling practices, low waste cooking and connecting with their food.
