Time: 10.00am - 1.00pm
Date: Saturdays, 13 September to 4 October
Where: Castlemaine Community House
Instructor: Ell
Come learn the sewing skills you’ll need to repurpose clothes, linen and other fabrics into new accessories like a bag or tote.
Starting with a session at The Good Op Shop, our sewing teacher Ell will help you find items with interesting fabrics. Then you’ll spend some time working out how to turn them into something new, useful, and delightful.
For the next three sessions, at Castlemaine Community House, Ell will teach you the sewing skills and techniques to make your design a reality. At the end of this course you’ll have the skills and confidence to upcycle clothes and fabrics into new items with your own personal twist!
This course is especially suited to those who have a machine at home but haven’t yet mastered using it. We encourage you to bring your machine along!
Please note: the cost of the items you choose from the Good Op Shop for this course will be an additional cost you’ll need to pay for on the day. Alternatively, you can bring some things from home that you no longer use or wear.
