Climb, have fun, and hang out while building, strength, skills and confidence.
Come join us for our 5-week afterschool program at the Hold Bouldering Gym in Bendigo. This program is designed to be a fun, non-competitive, and social activity for teens that don’t quite fit into mainstream sports and activities.
The Hold is a bouldering gym which means there are no ropes and the heights are low, which makes it a great way to enter into the sport of climbing. There will be coaches at the gym to give guidance and everything will be designed around your comfort level.
No experience is needed. Shoes, snacks, and transportation to and from Castlemaine will be provided.
Priority spots given to young people who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, part-time timetable students or disengaged from school, or are neurodivergent.
Ages: 12-18
This afterschool program is facilitated by Castlemaine Community House’s Youth Wellbeing Coordinator and funded by Vic Health’s Growing Healthy Communities program.
CCH’s Youth Programs prioritise recreation, social connection, creativity, and celebration, while supporting positive mental and physical health for the young people in our community.
