Improve your skills with design and learn how to use your designs on social media
Canva is a great free design tool. You can become a graphic designer and use this web based system to design posters, flyers, invitations, social media reels and posts and so much more. Use your skills for home, work, community events and help friends and family.
Our facilitator will take you through Canva, giving you the confidence to learn through doing and helping you understand common mistakes. Then you’ll take your designs and use them to create social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and Threads.
You’ll cover subjects like:
~ Making fresh design from templates on Canva
~ Saving and downloading your designs
~ Uploading designs to social media
~ Adding to your post in the social media platform
~ Monitoring and responding to comments and reactions
~ Common mistakes and challenges
This course is especially suited to those who have a laptop and a smart phone and would like to use them more. Please bring your machines and charging cable with you!
If you don’t have a laptop we have a couple you can borrow for the class but these can’t be taken home. If you have one, please bring your smart phone.
After this course: you could tell employers you have these new skills, do another course at Castlemaine Community House, study computers or marketing further at TAFE , or apply for a job.
