The programs in Google Workspace are great tools but if you don’t know how to use them well it can get confusing. This class will build your confidence so you can navigate the apps and make the most of them.
You’ll learn about using these programs on your laptop and via an internet browser. Topics covered include: ~ Understanding the different apps ~ What is ‘the cloud’ ~ What is Google Drive and where are my files saved ~ Using Docs, Sheets, Gmail and Slides ~ Keyboard skills ~ Staying safe online
Our facilitator is an experienced teacher who will break down the information and take you through it step by step. Whether you’re using Google for work, study or home you’ll have new skills for all your computer needs.
This course is especially suited to those who have basic computer skills but want to upskill for a job, education or life projects. Please bring your laptop and charger. We do have some laptops that can be loaned for the class.
After this course: you could tell employers you have these new skills, do another course at Castlemaine Community House, study computers further at TAFE or University, or apply for a job.
