Are you curious about working with community organisations? This is the course for you!
Discover the rewarding job opportunities within Community Services. This 10-week course with experienced social worker Kirrily Flanagan introduces you to what it’s like working in community organisations and how you can progress into a job or further study in this area.
Through engaging lessons you’ll learn some fundamental principles of working with community – from social work to community events, from youth work to pastoral care, and everything in between!
After this course: you could tell employers you have the skills covered in the course, do another employment course at Castlemaine Community House, study Community Services, Disability Support, Education Support, Youth Work or other courses at TAFE or University, or seek entry level employment in these areas.

Kirrily is an experienced social worker with a background in case management, community development, social policy and community project management. Having worked in diverse settings, she brings practical, real-world insight to the classroom.
Kirrily is passionate about introducing students to the core values and skills of social work and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment. She holds a Master of Social Work from LaTrobe University and is committed to helping new learners build a strong foundation in the field.
