Learn some kitchen skills and then share a meal!

Would you like to be part of a community cooking activity?

It might be responding to the need for meals during an emergency like the recent bushfire response, or cooking for new parents so they can spend more time with their baby, or helping out at Community Lunch or Community Christmas Lunch at Castlemaine Town Hall.

So many people offered help like this in the recent emergency and we’re offering this course so people can be ready to help next time your community needs you!

This course covers:

• Scaling recipes for large quantities

• What’s different in a commercial kitchen

• Making food for the freezer

• Safe packaging of foods

• Hygiene and safety

• Managing expectations and reactions

• Do Food Safely (Department of Health Victoria)

Most weeks you’ll make something together and then share the feast!
